For those who want to travel Hawaii, i recommend visiting Hanauma Bay. Hana translates to ‘bay’ and uma means ‘shelter’. Hanauma
Bay Hawaii is both a Natural Preserve and a Marine life Conservation District. These
provisions help the government protect the natural wildlife and natural area. This
bay supports a large population of Green sea turtle, Parrot Fish, Puffers,
Trumpet Fish and of course Hawaii’s State Fish, the Humuhumukunupua’a fish, or
just Humu.
The history of this bay is Hanauma Bay is evidence of a volcanic burst of activity on
the island tens of thousands of years ago. These volcanic eruptions formed the
crater on the sea floor, and waves from the ocean eventually filled the
circular bay. As a result, we now enjoy
one of the most geographically protected marine sanctuaries in the world.
The beach at Hanauma
Bay can be crowded during the morning hours, so better you visit in the mid-afternoon.
During your stay you can also take a short tram ride up to the rim of the crater
to view the entire bay.
Hanauma Bay is also the famous of all Hawaii’s snorkeling
beaches because of it is high population, clam shallow water, and white sand. While snorkeling, you will spot
schools of colorful fish and perhaps even dolphins and turtles. For your information,
there have two type of inner reef in Hanauma Bay which is inner and outer reef.
The safe inner reef is perfect for children and beginners, while the more
challenging outer reef will thrill advanced snorkelers on Hanauma Bay tours.
